4th of July in South Pasadena!

South Pasadena is located in Los Angeles County, California which is a large metropolitan area, while the City of South Pasadena is relatively small. As a small town we hold tons of fun community events. One of the notable events held annually is the 4th of July parade (and fireworks).

The parade brings together the entire community for a fun morning of balloons, civic groups, local organizations, and charity groups that march in the parade. Of course there is the South Pasadena High School band along with speeches from various dignitaries like the Mayor and State Senator Anthony Portantino. The Rose Parade float makes an appearance and there are the groups which support local education like the Vecinos of South Pasadena and the Oneonta Foundation. The local police and fire departments drive their vehicles and equipment down Mission Street and there was also a helicopter flyover.

In the evening everyone in South Pasadena congregates at South Pasadena High School to watch the fireworks. It is a magical day in this small town. If you are considering selling or buying a home in this wonderful town – be sure to reach out to South Pasadena’s best realtor.

Below is a short video I made of the 4th of July events, the parade and also a summary of the fireworks. I hope that you and your family enjoyed a relaxing and fun filled day on the 4th!
